CULTURAL & RELIGIOUS
The Flea Theater, an Off-Off-Broadway institution offering provocative and eclectic programs in Tribeca since 1996, retained Envoie Projects to manage the transformation of a building containing parts of the 18th Century New York Hospital into a new permanent home on Thomas Street. The 11,500 SF state-of-the-art complex holds three uniquely configured and intimately-scaled theaters – The Sam, The Pete and The Siggy (all named for theatrical royalty). These are accompanied by a welcoming lobby and artist-friendly back-of-house spaces, enabling the new facility to offer the entire Off-Off-Broadway community venues for theater, music and dance performances.
