Envoie was hired to oversee the design and construction of this new, 60,000 SF school facility in upper Manhattan. The Cooke School and Institute provides special education services in New York City, offering a school for students ages 5-21, as well as consulting and training services.  The new building brings Cooke’s K-12 program together under one roof, as opposed to operating out of multiple rental properties spread across Manhattan.

The new building also allowed Cooke to build based on the needs of their students; resulting in state-of-the art educational facilities, therapy and counseling spaces, large and small group break out spaces, full size gymnasium, specialized classrooms for OT/PT, creative arts and music, a yoga studio, and two rooftop outdoor spaces, and daily living labs; all with full ADA access.
