CULTURAL & RELIGIOUS
Founded in 1916, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art (MBMA) is the oldest and largest art museum in Tennessee. After more than a century, the world-class museum will be moving to a new home in Memphis’ downtown. The new building will provide more gallery space and additional square footage for programming, both indoor and outdoor. Features of the new design include galleries for both permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, a theatre, courtyard, rooftop event space, and a unique viewing platform of the Mississippi River. In addition to all back-of-house functions, square footage will be devoted to educational programming, events spaces, and visitor experiences (café & retail shop). To assist with this momentous effort, Envoie Projects was engaged for full project management services. During the concept phase, Envoie worked with the project team to refine and confirm the project scope, budget and schedule. In addition, Envoie identified and onboarded other consultants, and conducted a thorough RFQ/RFP for a construction manager for pre-construction services. As the Owner’s project manager, we focus on overall strategic project goals and the day-to-day detailed management required to achieve a successful project.
